Accessibility Statement

Unique Behavioral Practice Corp. is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We recognize that accessibility is not a one-time effort — it is an ongoing commitment.

Last reviewed: April 2026

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. This website is partially conformant, meaning some content may not yet fully meet all criteria. We are actively working to close those gaps.

As a provider that serves individuals with disabilities and accepts Medicaid, we take our responsibility to provide equitable digital access seriously.

What We Have Implemented

The following accessibility features are currently active on this website:

  • Skip navigation link — allows keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repeated navigation and jump directly to the main content.
  • Semantic HTML — proper use of <nav>, <main>, <section>, <footer>, and heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3).
  • ARIA labels — all major sections, navigation, and interactive elements include descriptive ARIA attributes for screen reader compatibility.
  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.
  • Visible focus indicators — keyboard focus is visually indicated on all interactive elements to support low-vision and keyboard users.
  • Reduced motion support — scroll animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion system setting, disabling animations for users who need them reduced.
  • Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG AA minimum contrast ratio requirements.
  • Alternative text — images include descriptive alternative text attributes for screen reader users.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full conformance, the following areas may have accessibility gaps we are working to address:

  • The contact form is provided by a third-party service and may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA in all assistive technology configurations.
  • Some decorative images may not have been fully evaluated for contrast in all color themes or high-contrast display modes.
  • The site has not yet undergone a formal third-party accessibility audit. A full WCAG 2.1 AA audit is planned.

Compatible Technologies

This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies and browsers:

  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android)
  • Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge (current versions)
  • Keyboard-only navigation on all major operating systems
